💭 Where Has Community Gone? A Gentle Reflection on Today’s World

Sometimes, I sit with my thoughts and wonder… where did the real sense of community go?

It feels like we’re living in a time where fellowship is rare, selfishness is normalized, and people are more likely to compete than to connect. Instead of rooting for one another, we’ve become so wrapped up in our own worlds that support feels more like a distant memory than a natural part of everyday life.

Families are more disconnected, friendships can feel surface-level, and many conversations are laced with hidden agendas. What happened to simply showing up for one another without needing something in return?

💔 It’s disheartening to see how many adults shy away from accountability — how often egos are chosen over empathy, and how some people sensationalize pain for the sake of entertainment. With social media glorifying drama and quick clout, real issues get buried beneath trends and filters.

Even the economy feels like it’s pushing us into survival mode. We’re told to settle for less and smile through it. But it’s okay to ask:

Where’s the dignity? The self-respect? The morals we once held close?

It seems like, for some, those values have been tucked away on a shelf… collecting dust.

In the pursuit of money, many lose sight of faith. Some begin to believe their struggles are bigger than God. Others allow their sadness or insecurities to define them, because it feels easier than facing the deep work it takes to heal. And I get it — life can feel and be overwhelming. We’re all fighting our own battles.

✨ But I truly believe this: there’s still hope. There’s still love. There’s still community — even if we have to create it for ourselves, from scratch.

So if you’re reading this and you’ve been feeling the same… you’re not alone. Keep praying. Keep believing in God. Keep making a genuine effort to show up, even when others don’t.

Let’s be the light this world so desperately needs. 🕊️
