Lately, my heart has been feeling so heavy — like the world has forgotten how to care.
It’s honestly overwhelming how normal it’s become for people to be petty, selfish, or just flat-out disrespectful toward one another. What happened to basic decency? To grace? To being a community with others? I observe social media, take in my surroundings, even watch how people interact in everyday life, and it just feels… off. Cold. Detached.
What hurts the most is that so many of us are just putting up with it. We smile through the mess, bite our tongues, avoid conflict at all costs, and keep it moving — all while quietly collecting the weight of it. No one wants to rock the boat, but meanwhile, the boat is sinking.
It’s like we’ve collectively lost our sense of responsibility — to ourselves, to each other, and to the world we live in. Entitlement is louder than accountability. Insecurity is masked as confidence. And we’re so caught up in our own survival that we forget we were never meant to do life alone.
Honestly, if we took a step back — like really looked at the bigger picture — we’d see how connected everything is. From rising crime rates to reckless spending, from inflation to this silent recession no one seems to name… these aren’t just economic issues. They’re humanissues. And at the core, it’s a reflection of our values (or lack thereof).
People don’t “stand on business” anymore — not for themselves and definitely not for others. Integrity, compassion, self-awareness… those used to mean something. Now it feels like everyone’s in competition, playing this never-ending game of who can seem more important, instead of actually being someone of substance.
What happened to human courtesy? To uplifting each other without jealousy? To choosing peace over pride?
Its just exhausting watching the same cycles repeat, hoping more of us will wake up and say: “This isn’t it. We need better. We can be better.”
I still believe in accountability. In reasonable change. I also believe things won’t change until enough of us get tired of pretending everything is fine.
So here I am, writing it out. Feeling it fully. Hoping someone else out there feels the same and knows they’re not alone.
Your voice matters. Your heart matters.
And together, maybe we can make the world feel a little less heavy. Hope your day continues to go as sublime as your face😀⭐️
XoXo,
