Standing Tall in a World That’s Losing Its Way

Where's the Accountability?

Sometimes, I just sit and wonder… when did we stop valuing ourselves? Like truly, deeply valuing our hearts, our dignity, our connection to God, and each other?

It breaks my heart to say this, but so many people today are walking around with empty self-worth. Doing anything for a paycheck, for attention, for validation — even if it goes against their own values, faith, and dignity. We’re compromising our souls just to stay relevant, accepted, or approved… but at what cost?

Let’s be real: there’s a huge shift happening, and not in the best way. Many men are dodging the true responsibility of what it means to be a man — to lead with honor, protect, provide, and love with intention. And sadly, many women are enabling this behavior, believing that if they love harder or hold on tighter, they’ll be loved back the way they deserve. But love doesn’t grow where accountability doesn’t exist.

And yet… we get upset when things fall apart, when we’re left disappointed, when people show us exactly who they are after we ignored all the signs.

But here’s the thing:

If more people stood on their values — in relationships, in the workplace, in society — things would change. If we demanded fair pay, respect, and human decency from our employers instead of settling out of fear or pride, companies and governments would have to listen. If women refused to accept mistreatment and chose healing over holding on, men would have no choice but to grow, or go. And if men took a moment to pause and truly reflect — to ask themselves what they really want in love, in life, in purpose — they’d stop checking out and start showing up.

But right now, there’s just too much entitlement, too much ego, and not nearly enough change.

And the thing that worries me the most? We’re drifting further and further from God. Prayer feels like an afterthought, not the foundation. But without God — without grace, discernment, and spiritual alignment — we’re just… lost.

I don’t know what’s next for this economy, this generation, or this culture. But I do know this: we can’t keep going like this and expect blessings to fall from the sky. We’ve got to choose better. Do better. Be better.

Start with faith.

Start with accountability.

Start with love — the real kind.

To anyone reading this and feeling the weight of it all. You’re not alone in this reflection.

XoXo

With love and truth,

Jassy
