Can a Man Truly Love a Woman Without Expecting Something in Return?

Men true intentions with women🤷🏾‍♀️🩶

Let’s have a real conversation, ladies.

In today’s world, where relationships often feel like transactions and intimacy is mistaken for love, it’s easy to start questioning: Can a man genuinely love a woman — like really love her — without expecting sex in return for his kindness, affection, or generosity?

The truth is, when a man truly sees a woman as the prize, he won’t feel entitled to anything. He’ll feel honored to be in her presence. He’ll see value in her mind, her soul, her spirit — not just what she can give him physically.

But here’s where it gets hard…

Too many women are unknowingly settling.

Too many are staying in relationships where they’re pouring into someone who isn’t even willing to lift a finger in return. And after all the sacrificing, hoping, building, and excusing — they end up tired, drained, anxious, and questioning their worth.

Let me say this clearly: you don’t have to build a man. That’s not your job.

Your job is to protect your peace, stand in your worth, and walk away when his actions don’t match the love you deserve.

Because when you keep showing up for someone who won’t show up for you, you’re not just enabling him — you’re betraying yourself.

If more women had the courage to say “No, I’m not accepting less,” and walked away the first time they were disrespected, a lot of men would be forced to either grow up or sit down. They would have no choice but to rise above the standard. And guess what? That’s how true leaders, protectors, and providers are made!

Men set the tone of the relationship, but women decide if they’ll accept the melody.

A man who isn’t ready to love, lead, or provide should not be out here pursuing anyone’s daughter — and certainly not you.

Being in a relationship is about more than dates, gifts, or who’s paying for dinner. It’s about vision, respect, security, and yes — God.

Let’s stop normalizing the bare minimum.

Let’s stop confusing “he took me to Applebee’s” with “he has a plan for my life.”

Let’s stop making excuses for men who clearly showed us they weren’t ready for us.

And let’s start praying. Let’s start healing. Let’s start becoming the women God created us to be — confident, discerning, and whole.

Because the truth is, when God sends you the spouse your meant to be with…

He won’t come with pressure.

He’ll come with peace.

And he won’t expect something in return for loving you — he’ll see loving you as the reward.

Stay in your purpose, stand in truth, and most importantly: stay close to God.

Everything else will become crystal clear.

With grace and truth

XoXo,

Jassy
