Wicked Part 2 finally graced the screen, and let me tell you… the way this movie wrapped itself around my heart should honestly be illegal. It was the kind of finale that makes you sit up a little straighter, breathe a little slower, and whisper to yourself, “Oh… so this is what good storytelling does.”

From beginning to end, this movie blossomed into a celebration of womanhood, integrity, emotional courage, and the cost of choosing truth. Elphaba and Glinda didn’t just grow — they transformed.

🌱Elphaba & Glinda: From Girlhood to Grown-Woman Grace

This film doesn’t play around with their growth. Gone are the giggly schoolgirl days — Part 2 ushers them into womanhood, decision-making, and the real consequences of who they choose to be.

Glinda’s arc genuinely surprised me in the best way. After spending so much of her life chasing approval from everyone except herself, she finally chooses compassion, honesty, and her own moral backbone. You can feel Elphaba’s integrity rubbing off on her over time. Elphaba didn’t just save Oz — she saved Glinda’s soul.

💖The Redemption of Glinda

Glinda really stood on business in this movie. She put her reputation, her public image, and her comfort on the line… all for truth and for Elphaba. And even when Elphaba asked her to play along with the narrative that the sheep-minded Ozians would accept, Glinda did it with dignity.

It was the quiet, painful moment of a woman choosing what’s right over what’s applauded.

Honestly? She grew up.

🙄The Ozians: A Walking Migraine

I’m going to be honest: most of Oz was giving “loud, wrong, and proud.”

They were so desperate to cling to lies that they treated truth like an inconvenience. Prideful, ego-driven, and embarrassingly gullible — the whole lot of them were headaches wrapped in sparkles.

And that’s exactly why Elphaba frightened them: she wasn’t a mirror of their ideals. She had her own identity, her own mind, and that kind of freedom terrifies people who never developed one.

😒Nessa & Boq? Absolutely Not.

Let’s call a spade a spade here: they were cowards.

Instead of fixing their own issues, they projected every insecurity onto Elphaba. Their fate felt like a natural consequence — not cruel, just a direct result of who they chose to be.

💥Madame Morrible Deserved Every Bit of That Ending

Her manipulations were the real force behind the chaos, and the film should have centered her conflict with Elphaba more directly. A final face-off between them would’ve been chef’s-kiss perfection. But seeing her dragged off by the flying monkeys after years of scheming? Delicious.

🍸The Wizard… Sir, Why Were You Even Here?

He gave “confused uncle who wandered into the wrong movie set.”

The drinking, the confusion, the lack of accountability — his whole character felt like a plot prop. They could’ve replaced him with a well-trained raccoon and the plot wouldn’t change and now he's left to deal with his consequence.

🐾The Animals Got Their Justice

The sweetest victory in this film was seeing the animals regain their voices and dignity. It brought the story full circle and honored Elphaba’s mission with tenderness.

💚💛Elphaba & Fiyero: Soulmates Through Fire

Their love was ride-or-die without the toxicity. Mature. Brave. Understanding. Willing to risk everything but never each other. Fiyero had heart, courage, and loyalty — the trifecta of a real man.

Elphaba turning him into the Scarecrow to save him? Romantic in the most heartbreaking way. He didn’t even care what form he took — he cared about being with her.

They were meant to be.

✨The Ending & The Question: Did Glinda Gain Powers?

The moment the Grimmerie pages fluttered was symbolic and mysterious.

Was Elphaba giving Glinda a gift?

Or did Glinda unlock her own power through genuine selflessness?

Either interpretation is beautiful.

But here’s the real twist: Glinda is the one who ends up emotionally imprisoned. She must live with the consequences of her world’s ignorance, while Elphaba and Fiyero finally escape the cage Oz put them in.

Sometimes the real freedom is walking away.

🌈Final Thoughts: Bittersweet & Beautiful

Wicked Part 2 was emotional, Mature, honest, heartbreaking, and hopeful. It confronted the reality of leaving people behind, choosing yourself, and being misunderstood for it. It honored truth over optics. And it showed that sometimes “wicked” is just another word for “true to yourself.”
