Okay so listen… In Chicago, finding a healthy food spot that’s actually good AND doesn’t make you feel like you’ve wasted your money is such a struggle, especially with inflation doing the absolute most right now 😩! So when I say this vegan soul food place was worth it, I really mean that from the bottom of my food-loving heart 💚🍴!

Let me tell you about Soul Vibez… the moment I walked in, I could just feel the cozy, grounded energy. The interior had this soft green aesthetic that made perfect sense for a vegan spot, and it really matched their vibe—clean, intentional, and comforting.

✨I tried the vegan chicken, mac n cheese, and fries—and whew chile, I was so impressed!! Like, seriously impressed. The flavor was giving, the texture was giving, and the portion sizes were perfect for what you pay (which is saying a lot these days). I honestly wasn’t expecting it to slap the way it did but it delivered!

What made the experience even better? The cashier was so professional and sweet—one of those people who make you feel like your presence matters when you walk in. That kind of hospitality makes all the difference, and I really felt seen and appreciated as a customer. You can tell they care.

Outside they have this really cute setup where you can sit and eat while watching the trains, the cars, and the everyday city flow by. You’ve got the beautiful Chicago buildings in the background and music playing while you eat…it was giving ✨soulful picnic in the city✨ and I was here for it.

Whether you’re vegan or not, this spot is 100% worth checking out if you’re ever in the area and want food that’s fulfilling without making you feel sluggish afterwards. I’ll definitely be back and you might catch me posted outside, minding my business with a fry in one hand and joy in my heart lol 😆💁🏾‍♀️🍟.
